The Google “Parisian Love” commercial was incredible…absolutely incredible. Simple and perfectly executed, telling a story in under a minute, describing the joys that come with growing up, travel, love, growth, and family…my hats off to you Eric Schmidt.

Good demo. and tips for the stiff-legged (Romanian) deadlift. Keep in mind that extension of the lumbar spine (flat back) is the priority. It may not be possible for all of us to extend the bar all the way to the ground while keeping the back straight.

Hey Adam,
With an injured back, is it best to stay off of it, or work very very lightly, even with just the bar in this case? I know a lot of it comes down to how the injured person feels during the workout, just wanted your take on this. Thanks.

The commercial’s were just “ok” for me. None seemed to stand out.

Didn’t even turn on the TV during the game…will have to “catch up” on the commercials today at lunch I guess. Second year in a row.

Pete-
You’ll be good to go with an empty bar tonight. Rather than for time, we’ll do it slow and controlled. Should be a good hamstring stretch for you and force you to engage the core to keep everything in a straight line.

Doritos commercial where the guy taunted that dog with the shock collar and the dog made him pay for it. Awesome.

Actually all the Doritos commercials. When the Doritos Samurai killed some dude with a durito to the neck and then charged the other guy like a Samurai…badass.

Those DL’s definitely got easier as each round progressed…while the grip was getting shot, the hamstrings were warming up and getting looser and that helped go lower. At least it felt that way for me.

On the topic of the commercials – here’s a good take on advertising targeting…

Hey Adam,
Don’t forget that slide down the stairs for Sophia is weighted!
February 8th, 2010 at 6:29 pm
So how much weight is that for steve and riss to “clean?”
February 8th, 2010 at 9:41 pm
LOL. I’d estimate around 2 pood. Steve?
February 9th, 2010 at 11:30 pm
With that girl it could be 2.5 pood. With all that grass fed beef she ate.
