The sun's shining, school’s almost out, and you know what that means- CrossFit Kids! Here’s all you need to know about the 2019 CrossFit Fort Vancouver Kids & Teens Summer Programs.
Our CFV Kids Summer Program is for CrossFit Fort Vancouver families and their friends ages 3 - 13. CFV Teens are 13-17.
The aim of the CFV Kids & Teens Programs is to pair fitness with fun! We’ll also strive to provide valuable life lessons that go way beyond the gym!
June 24 - August 16th
Ages 3-6: Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00 - 10:00 AM
Ages 7-13: Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00 - 11:00 AM
Ages 13-17 (Teens): Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays 3:30 - 4:30 PM
To enroll your children in the CFV Summer Programs, please email crossfitfortvan@gmail.com with their names and ages. We'll respond with the necessary paperwork to get them plugged in! Thank You!
Kids Pricing:
$120 for 1st child
$90 for 2nd child
$60 for 3rd child
$15 drop-in
Teens Pricing:
$199 for 1st child

Physical Benefits
Exercise is AWESOME! We believe time spent moving is more beneficial for our kids than time on devices or on a couch! Kids' brains are like little sponges, itching to make neurological connections and adaptations. These connections in the brain are made in response to stimuli. The more kids can be exposed to when they are young, the more connections and capacities they develop and retain for the rest of their lives!
Emotional Benefits
Exercise is AWESOME! Just like adults, it's possible that the emotional benefits of exercise for kids outweigh the physical. CrossFit is similar to sports and martial arts in how it can develop children on an emotional level. We'll work with kids on sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, listening skills, self-discipline and manners. These skills, though not physical, will help kids succeed throughout life. In addition, the confidence level of children who have been doing CrossFit tends to improve. As their bodies become more able and their abilities expand, children generally become more physically active and less self-conscious in other athletic situations. Some children also experience a positive change in body image and boost in self-esteem. All great reasons to exercise!
Fitness as a Lifestyle
One of the main reasons for our CrossFit Kids program is instilling the value of fitness at an early age. It is also important to make sure kids find fitness fun – if children grow up associating working out with being something enjoyable and clearly seeing the benefits to their bodies and health, then they are more likely to keep fitness as a priority throughout their lives. Eating healthy becomes a natural and normal choice and being active becomes something they just do. It's their normal!
Through social interactions within our Kids programs, each child will be encouraged to develop and grow these skills in a safe and fun environment! Because this is CrossFit, kids will be introduced and become familiar with movements through skill work, games and much more. We also plan to add an educational component woven in each week amongst our classes.
Our Team
We’re stoked to welcome Bre and her expertise as a CrossFit Kids seminar staff member to the CFV family this summer! Combined with Courtney’s years of experience coaching kids, Colin’s leadership, and Adam’s commitment to the Teens Program, we have a fantastic team to lead your children this summer! We hope your kids can join us!
